What You Should do During Spooky Season: Louisville Edition

It is finally fall and Halloween is almost here! There are so many places to visit and things to do in Louisville. Here are some suggestions to make your fall more fun.

#1. Huber’s Ochard and Winery

This is a great place to go to with your family or friends. It is actually located in Indiana and is about 40 minutes away but totally worth it! Here you can visit a pumpkin patch, eat, and drink. There are multiple activities you can also participate in. Huber’s is a fan favorite for locals and a great spot to visit.

#2. Jack O’Lantern Spectacular

Located in Iroquois Park is this marvelous drive thru experience. Pumpkins are carved and lit up at night for this magical experience. Over 5,000 pumpkins are in it and it is a fun place to visit during this season. It is great way to get into the Halloween spirit and see beautiful art.

#3. Waverly Hills Sanatorium

This is a must see, especially for tourists. Waverly Hills was a tuberculosis hospital that opened up back in 1910. This place is notorius for being haunted because of how many people died in there. Tours are offered and you can even stay the night there. Waverly Hills also offers a haunted house. If you are looking for something really spooky this is for you.

#4. Zombie Walk

The Zombie Walk happens on Bardstown Road. Thousands of people participate in this every year. People dress as zombies and walks around Bardstown Road. Highlands Taproom has a party for the participants and have a contest for the best costume. It is fun to either participate or just drive around and look!

These are just a couple of big events that happen around Louisville. There are many haunted houses to visit as well. So go out and enjoy this spooky season!
